Because real-time video connections on ooVoo can run peer-to-peer, your IP address may be disclosed to the device of the user you are matched with as a technical part of establishing the connection. It is never shown in the interface.
We do not sell personal data. As ooVoo has no payment functionality, no payment or transaction data exists to be collected or shared.
International Transfers
ooVoo infrastructure is hosted in the European Union and the United States. With users spread across the world, personal data may cross borders. We take appropriate steps to protect it, but privacy laws in your own country may differ from those where the data is processed.

Retention and Deletion
We keep data no longer than needed. ooVoo has no permanent accounts, so there is no stored profile to remove: your session ends when you close the site.
Message logs and communication data are not permanently stored. Ban and complaint data may be held temporarily for moderation purposes.
Records that the law requires us to keep are retained for the legally mandated period.

Nevada Privacy Rights
Nevada residents may exercise their opt-out rights under Nevada Revised Statutes Chapter 603A via [email protected]. ooVoo does not currently sell data of the kind covered by that opt-out.
Canadian Privacy Rights
We comply with Canadian privacy law, including PIPEDA. Data may be stored outside Canada and can be subject to lawful access requests by authorities there.
