ooVoo gives you free, anonymous one-on-one video conversations with strangers, with no registration involved. We want the platform to be a safe, spontaneous, and respectful place to meet new people: the same open format as other talk-to-strangers sites, with a heavier emphasis on safety and positive interaction.
The rules below exist to keep ooVoo welcoming for everyone. Breaking them can lead to immediate suspension or a permanent ban.
What Is Not Allowed on ooVoo
For the safety and respect of all users, and to comply with international law, the following conduct is strictly forbidden:
- Use by Anyone Under 18 – ooVoo is an adults-only platform. You must be at least 18 years old to use it, and anyone suspected of being underage will be removed immediately.
- Abusive or Harmful Language – Vulgar, sexually explicit, violent, threatening, or otherwise harmful language has no place on ooVoo. This is not a platform for abusive or disturbing content.
- Hate Speech and Discrimination – Insulting, attacking, or demeaning anyone on the basis of religion, race, gender, sexual orientation, nationality, or age is prohibited. Hate speech or discriminatory behavior in any form leads to a ban.
- Harassment and Intimidation – Stalking, harassing, or intimidating other users, whether through words, images, or actions, will not be tolerated.
- Bare Chest Without a Visible Face – A bare chest may only appear on camera when your face is visible in the frame at the same time. This rule exists to prevent anonymous indecent exposure.
- Nudity or Appearing in Underwear Only – Being fully nude or wearing nothing but undergarments on camera is never allowed.
- Sexually Explicit Behavior – The following are banned outright:
- Requesting or pressuring anyone into sexual activity.
- Exposing genitals or pointing the camera below chest level.
- Masturbation or the simulation of sexual acts on camera.
- Advertising and Solicitation – ooVoo may not be used for promotion, advertising, or redirecting users anywhere. This covers:
- Showing links, promotional messages, or advertising images and videos.
- Using screen shares, video loops, or virtual/fake webcams to mislead or promote.
- Selling anything, asking for donations, or marketing services.
- Illegal or Exploitative Activity – ooVoo must never be used to enable or promote unlawful activity, including:
- Human trafficking or sex trafficking
- Prostitution or exploitation
- Physical, sexual, or psychological abuse
- Any other illegal or harmful conduct
How to Report a Violation
If someone breaks these rules, report them during the chat or afterwards, or contact us through our support system. You can also leave any conversation instantly by clicking to the next match. When reporting via support, attaching a screenshot of the violation helps us act faster.
Enforcement
Serious violations are met with zero tolerance. Users who receive multiple complaints are blocked automatically, and bans issued for breaking these guidelines are final. Where the law requires it, unlawful activity is reported to the appropriate authorities.
Our moderation systems and team enforce these rules around the clock, but community reports remain a vital part of keeping the platform clean. Your cooperation keeps ooVoo safe, spontaneous, and enjoyable for everyone.
