Microsoft bashes iPad Pro in its new commercial

Microsoft has always loved to bash iPad with its Surface Commercial and this started back 5 years ago in 2013 in the days of Windows 8 tablets when Microsoft started to bash Apple for iPad.

Microsoft then revived its efforts a couple of years ago to bash iPad Pro in its commercials and even Macs haven’t escaped the attention of Microsoft’s ads. While this time Apple is sticking to something heartwarming and charming, Microsoft is focusing on bashing Apple’s iPad with its new holiday ad.

The new Surface commercial is a musical adaption of “Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer”:

“Grandma, don’t run out and buy an iPad. It was fine when I was six, but now I’m 10. My dreams are big so I need a real computer.”

In this ad, the little girl is referring to Apple’s new ads in which the company refer iPad Pro as a computer and a competitor for laptops.

There has always been the fight between laptops and tablets and Apple slowly evolved its iPad to include a keyboard like a laptop and a stylus like a Surface to convince us that tablets are the future of computing.

These additions have created even more debate over the direction in which computing will head in near future. Apple will try to convince the people that iPads are as good or better than computers while Microsoft will try to convince you that it’s not.

However, for users, the best device is one which works best for us and that’s what matters.
