A few reports suggest that Spotify is testing out a new feature which will let the Android users import songs from their Android device.
A Twitter user Jane Manchun Wong spotted this unreleased feature in the Settings of the Spotify for Android app. Along with that, there is “Saved for Later” option for podcasts, and an overhauled Library layout that brings playlists of your saved tracks more into view.

Spotify praises itself for having a vast library of songs, over 30 million, but still finding every song on the Spotify is not possible. This could be due to the fact that there are licenses and licensing often means that certain bands or artists’ songs are exclusively available to certain platforms such as Beyonce’s 2016 album Lemonade which is available on Tidal.
If this feature is coming then it would mean that users will be able to fill the gaps by buying any song or album from any band’s or artists website and then uploading it to Spotify as to manage their Playlist in a better way instead of having to play those tracks through a separate music player.
Spotify is still currently testing these feature and it is not confirmed that whether these feature will actually make their way to either Android or iOS versions of the Spotify app, but if they do so, then it definitely would be a huge change.
