Logitech is going to acquire Plantronics for over $2 billion

Logitech International S.A. is a Swiss provider of personal computer and mobile peripherals. Just a few months ago they announced that they are going to buy Blue Microphones and now it is being reported that they are going to buy the headset makers Plantronics for about $2.2 billion.

If a deal is made between both the companies, an official announcement could be made sometime this coming week, though nothing has been finalized yet.

This deal is made as an effort by both companies to reduce costs as tariffs on imports from China could eat into their margins or force them to increase the prices for the users against a backdrop of increasing competition from a number of different vendors.

Plantronics is famous for making different ranges of headphones, earbuds, office headsets, and other accessories.

These products of Plantronics are well reviewed, and Plantronics keeps on releasing the traditional Bluetooth earpieces even after many companies moved out from that product years ago.

According to the company, when Neil Armstrong stepped on the surface of the moon his first words were sent through a Plantronics headset.

Logitech has already too much money on buying companies in 2018 than any year before this, and that’s only counting the Blue Microphones deal. Once this deal is done, we will see a huge increase in Logitech’s revenue.
