Just days after its launch, the Bullet Messenger became one of the most popular apps in the Chinese App Store and over 5 million were registered within just 10 days of its launch.

Whilst posting about copyright complaints, the company did not clarify that which part of the app received copyright complaints.

On the official Weibo account, the company said in a statement that:

“We are verifying the situation with the partner and will inform you as soon as possible when download capabilities are resumed,”

There hasn’t been any comment by Apple on why the app was removed from the Apple Store.

Although the app is not yet available on App Store, it is still available on all of China’s top Android App Stores.

The Bullet Messenger got rapid popularity among the Chinese market due to its minimal interface and its feature by which the app translates the speech to text in real time, however, unlike its rival, it still lacks some important features.

The Bullet Messenger is one of the top apps in the Chinese App Store and it will be interesting to see as what happens further regarding this copyright infringement issue.
