Do I need expensive equipment to use ooVoo?
No. All you need is a high-speed internet connection and a computer with a web cam,
speakers, and microphone (standard equipment on most new notebook and desktop computers).
Is setup difficult?
No. It takes only a few minutes to install ooVoo and set up an account. We take
care of everything else.
How many participants can I have on a video conference?
With ooVoo Business, you can have up to six participants on video and an additional
six participants patched in by phone. So twelve participants is the maximum.
Do all video conference participants need to install
No. Only one participant needs to install the ooVoo software. The remaining participates
can join the video conference using a web browser.
How does desktop sharing work?
When you're on a video conference, you can share your desktop with conference participants
by clicking the "desktop sharing" icon in ooVoo. All participants will
be able to view your desktop and whatever you would like to share with them.
How is ooVoo different from Skype?
ooVoo is a video communication solution, not a VoIP (phone) solution, like Skype
is. ooVoo allows video calls with up to six people on video at once whereas Skype
has just one-to-one video. ooVoo also allows you to video call with friends or colleagues
that don't have ooVoo installed with the web video call link feature (your friends
join the video call in their web browser) which is not a feature that Skype currently
has.
